I currently teach Special Education at the middle school level. This year I have some students who come with very unique needs. Several of them are missing foundational reading skills including letter recognition and phonics, while also needing to review math skills. that have typically been mastered by peers at this level. I have worked with students on these skills in the past, however, I took time off to have my family and have returned to a classroom with limited resources. I am looking to have resources in my room that will help students get their needs met and improve their reading and math skills. Some of these students need more opportunity to be taught in a different way, in a small group and tactile way, to appeal to their learning style. If funds are remaining after purchasing the listed items, I could use scientific calculators for a different group of students on my caseload.
