The state of Michigan requires all students in grades 8 - 12 to receive “Hands Only CPR” training. At Pierce Middle School, we feel that it is important that all students receive training in what to do in an emergency including CPR. Every student can learn what to do in an emergency from activating the EMS System to performing chest compressions until help arrives. By purchasing a set of CPR manikins, we can provide this experience to all students in our school. Many of our students babysit, supervise younger siblings, and participate in extracurricular activities where a medical emergency can occur. If they know the basic steps of emergency response and CPR, they can help save a life!
