Preschool is an environment where interaction with elements throughout the classroom are necessary for academic success. In order to maintain interest and engagement, teachers need to work diligently to keep those interactions fresh and interesting. Small changes such as rotating pillow covers, discovery bins filled with seasonal selections, and neon lamps outlining seasons, weather or holidays, make a large impact to little learners. I would like to add items to my classroom that will facilitate a better understanding of the changing seasons, an important science concept, throughout the year. The MSGCU Classroom Cash Grant will allow me to add seasonal supplements to my preschool environment.
