I teach Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). This class consists of children from 2 ½ to 6 years of age. All of the students have a language impairment. This programâs main goal is to improve language function. All of my studentâs central nervous systemsâ process things differently. Things that bother students with sensory issues are lighting, sound, touch, etc. Sometimes these students need time away from other children to decompress. We have built a sensory room inside our classroom. We are looking to improve this space this year.
